HASL 4.00 Manual: Release Notes for HASL 4.01S

Release Notes for HASL 4.00S

  1. HASL 4.01S has been optimized to work with SYBYL 6.6+
    • Under Irix 6.5 on a R4400 SGI using the -mips3 compiler directive and the Sybyl 6.6 binary libraries for R5000+ processors.
(See the Installation instructions for more information.)

  2. The HASL Contour Dialog has been updated with a new facility for picking contour levels as a fraction of range. The levels now available are 5%, 10%, 20%, 33%, 50% and 75%. If these levels do not fit your usage patterns, please let us know so we can either revise for the next release or show you how to modify this at your site. (This enhancement was suggested by Arthur Doweyko of Bristol-Myers Squibb.)

  3. A modification that will hopefully make it more clear which H-Val values are being selected in the Edit Basic HASL H-Val Parameters Dialog Box has been made.

  4. The demo files for the Tutorial were inadvertently left out of the previous release.

  5. A bug in the Predict SPL program has been fixed.

  6. An error in the interface between HINT and HASL, that affected the ability to import HINT partition data into HASL has been corrected. (Thank you to Salvatore Guccione and students at Universita Studi degli di Catania, Italy for isolating this problem.)

  7. Previous versions of HASL will not operate after this end of this year due to a date rollover in the License Manager.
