Year 2000 Compliance Statement - eduSoft, LC

We have been asked by several of our customers to provide information about the functionality of our software with respect to the "Year 2000 Bug". The only use of date information in any eduSoft, LC product is in the licensing mechanism and this is based on the Unix clock which is considered to be immune to the Year 2000 Bug.

Silicon Graphics, Inc. reports that IRIX^TM 6.5.x, the all-platform release of the Silicon Graphics operating system is completely Year 2000 compliant and that it is unlikely that you will experience Year 2000 problems with prior IRIX releases.

Thus, we believe our software will be Year 2000 Compliant, that is it will continue to function without interruption after January 1, 2000, subject to the following conditions:

• The USER has updated his/her computer operating system (i.e., IRIX^TM) to the patch or O/S level(s) recommended by Silicon Graphics, Inc.
• If the USER is using eduSoft, LC software in a "module" mode with a full-featured molecular modeling program such as Sybyl, insightII, or Chem-X, the USER has verified that these programs are themselves year 2000 compliant.
