Zap electrostatics software is now available! Zap is a molecular electrostatics calculation suite co-produced by eduSoft, LC and OpenEye Scientific Software. This program uses OpenEye's original Poisson-Boltzmann code -- the fastest, most efficient PB code available. Zap was written by Anthony Nicholls, author of GRASP and co-author of DelPhi, and is available as a "module" compatible with the Sybyl molecular modeling package.
Functionality of Zap includes electrostatic binding energies, solvent forces, potential distributions (maps), and solvation energies.
In addition, Zap also has several unconventional features for Poisson-Boltzmann solvers, including new 3D QSAR fields and new surface/volume QSAR descriptors.
